Labialplasty-Minora and Majora

The labial majora(outer lips) are to skin folds that extend from your mons pubis.  These can become enlarged, floppy or sagging, creating an imperfection that are not pleasing to the female or embarrassing with intimacy.

The labia minora (inner lips) are the inner skin folds that circle the vaginal opening and continue posteriorly from the clitoral area toward the peroneal body.  The appearance and shape of the labia minora can have many variations.  They can be asymmetric, loose, redundant or too large.  Again, can be aesthetically not pleasing to the patient, uncomfortable with activity and or sex.

Labiaplasty Minora or labia reduction is for the removal of excess, floppy, or uneven labia minora (smaller interior vaginal lips) that often causes chronic irritation, rubbing, or discomfort during sexual intercourse.

This form of vaginal rejuvenation is an excellent solution if you have discomfort during daily activities including irritation during exercise, visibility in swimsuits/clothes, moisture retention, or self-esteem issues.

Labiaplasty of the Majora is designed to reduce the broader outer lips of the vulva which can be enlarged with excess skin and tissue. The labia majora may be enlarged secondary to childbirth, or due to aging. Many women also find quite a large and droopy labia majora after major weight loss particularly after bariatric surgery. This enlargement can cause an embarrassing bulge in pants, swimsuits, or leotard. It can also increase the discomfort of sweating in the vulva.

Because of these unwanted features, cosmetic gynecologists offer labiaplasty which is a version of vaginal rejuvenation.
